Susan Cain: The power of introverts

Today, whilst browsing for internet inspiration, I came across this video.

In a world dominated by mostly extroverts, where we have been expected to be outgoing and social, where introverts are often misunderstood and we are sometimes made to feel guilty or inadequate for preferring our quiet time over large parties… I’m glad to see that introversion is becoming more understood.

Introversion, as much as extroversion, holds many positive qualities for a person and should be something that we are proud of.

It’s nice to see introversion is starting to become “OK” in this world.

About Lily

Lily is the blogger's name of an overimaginative, positivity-powered, and potentially awkward introvert girl who likes to think she's "quirky" (though it's very possible that she's just plain weird!) She loves music, musical theatre, art & comics, inspirational stories, languages, expressive people and anything that is a little eccentric.

    I watched this video and was completely blown away by how accurate she was!! I am exactly as she described…I, too, was one of those kids who would bring books to summer camp. ;p

    My mom and I are so alike in this regard. As well as all of my friends. lol

    Mind = Blown . . .in a good way. :p
