There Are No Memories That Are Okay To Forget

We all live life thinking about things in the past that we’d like to change or forget about. There are things that might hurt us or we might feel ashamed of. Things we call Regrets.

There are no regrets. Or maybe there are, but they don’t have to be as negative as we think. We might want to forget about them, forget that it ever happened. But a regret should be something we learn from. Mistakes happen to teach us. It happened for us to be able to learn from it and to know how we should change.

A regret is just a memory that will make us stronger. And like with all memories, I believe we should keep hold of them.

Because every memory, good and bad, is important. It makes us who we are today.

A memory is a part of us.

This post is inspired by Fruits Basket  – one of my most favourite animés ever. The message in each episode is something that touches the heart and stays with me forever. I have a place in my heart for all the episodes but Episode 15 is one of my favourites… it’s one that really struck a chord with me.

About Lily

Lily is the blogger's name of an overimaginative, positivity-powered, and potentially awkward introvert girl who likes to think she's "quirky" (though it's very possible that she's just plain weird!) She loves music, musical theatre, art & comics, inspirational stories, languages, expressive people and anything that is a little eccentric.
