Keep going. Keep moving. Keep living.

I think sometimes the biggest achievement can be something so simple; to keep going.

Keep stepping forward. Yes, allow yourself to take some breaks but don’t ever stop. Even if you only moved forward just an inch, or a centimetre, you still did it. You moved forward. You’re still going.

If you have to keep it together to get through something? Just think “later.” Be scared later. Be emotional later. Feel all those scary feeling later. The only thing you shouldn’t do later? The thing you need to get through now. Do the thing now.

After you’ve done the thing, then let your feelings be. Feel everything. Don’t hold back.

I write this because I want to remind everyone who may be struggling – just keep going. Get through each day as it comes. That, alone, is an achievement.

And I’ve gotta tell you – I’ve been having a hard time of late. I understand the feeling of hopelessness and pointlessness. Those thoughts of “why should I try anything when I don’t know what I’m doing? When I don’t know what will happen?” The fear of being left behind, being forgotten, of everything moving on without you and you don’t know where to move yourself.

But one the most important things you can do for yourself – just keep going. Keep doing stuff. Because that stuff brings more stuff which you can do too.

Because yes, maybe you don’t know what will happen. But we can use that as our reason to try. We don’t know what will happen… so let’s find out.

Have faith that something great is coming, that we will learn what we need to know as we go. Sometimes having that hope is enough to get us through each day, to give us that much needed energy to move onward.

So hold onto it, hold on really tight and don’t let go.

Because eventually, you’ll meet moments which will replenish that hope, where things will make a little more sense and will allow you continue further – like a positive energy cycle – so you just have to keep going in order to create the opportunity for such moments to appear.

Keep going. Those moments are worth it.

“The places where I belong.
It seems as if they are disappearing,
one after another…”

“The place where I feel happy for a moment
Might not become my forever place,
But even if it’s not forever,
This is my one
Precious place”
