As I child, I used to doodle a lot. In notepads, scraps of paper, and in the borders of newspapers (which my mum used to cut out and collect! :)).
Somewhere along the line, the drawing part of me seemed to fade. Never did I once think could I do anything with drawing. No, that was something only other people do. One of my best friends is a truly talented artist – if anyone could make something out of art/drawing, it was her.
But last year, I re-discovered my love for drawing. Finishing an illustration that can tell a story is something that makes me feel alive. And with a childish imagination like mine, it was the best way for my insane thoughts to spill onto paper.
I currently have two projects:
- A Story To Tell – a mini-series of short stories, designed to help me sort out my rusty art skills and newbie story writing! There are no plans for any new stories yet but I may come back to revisit this.
- Dragon Hearted Girl – my main project! This a story I’ve kept in my head for around three years, but consists of ideas which were left dormant since a very young age. This is my platform for self-expression in a magical, adventurous, fantastical way 🙂
